FEATURED NEXTWAVE ARTISTS

Backflow

From Riga, Latvia comes the grunge revivalist rockers Backflow, a group that in 2007 became the offspring of another successful band, Mary Jane (1996-2007.)  With their debut album, Love & Peace, released in April 2008, Backflow unleashed their garage rock aesthetic, giving classic grunge rock a unique 21st century twist.  Hey, even noted musician Billy Gould (bass player of Faith No More) digs their sound!  And having played a handful of huge European festivals, they are totally ready to give the States a look-see.

noon:30

Based out of DC comes the dynamite trio of ladies, noon:30, busting out post punk with a dash of dance funk, and melodies that will put DC back on the map of the music scene, (much like Minor Threat and Bad Brains had done back in the day.) Blue Moon (vox) , Aissa Arroyo-Hill (guitar), and Vivanne Njoku (drums) take it to whole other levels in their live performance, incorporating self-made visual projections, crowd chant-alongs, and produce beats guaranteed to get everyone on the floor moving.  They're a band not to be missed, ever.  And global domination is definitely in their future.
