Ai tawt bout doin de blog in de lolcat tong, butt ai tink i wood dye inda prozesss. I figured writing in lolcat form would be the easy way out of announcing Strictly Global is about to take an extended winter break. Woo-woo, but no worries, cause while we are hibernating, bigger and awesomer things will be sure to come in 2010 post-rest. And don't fret yet, cause this Friday we have tons of new music videos flowing in from winter akin countries like the UK, Germany, Sweden, and more.

noon:30
We also have a new NextWave band to introduce you to- noon:30!!! I once heard someone describe them as the love child of TV On the Radio & Bikini Kill. Radical! Check them out in our interview we had with them and learn more about the hysterical meaning behind songs like "The French Song", their involvement in the art/music community, their new album, and life on the road. Quoi!

Kings of Convenience
We will also be premiering the latest video from Bergen, Norway's duo Kings of Convenience. They just released a new album called "Declaration of Dependence", their 3rd release in nearly a decade of existing. These dudes, with insanely cool names: Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, have known each other since they were 10 years old, competing against each other in a geography contest. Kinda makes me wanna re-connect with some of my 5th grade pals and start that In Living Color Fly Girls Dance Troupe we had dreamed about...
Lastly, do you ever scour through the band database on myspace and come across bands trying to be ironic by saying their genre is polka hip-hop when they are clearly indie folk? Barf. Well, I recently came across a band claiming to be experimental a'cappella, and it turned out to be true, in Heatbox's "Jack & Coke." I can't get this guys dance moves out of my head. Hilarity. Happy Friday the 13th everybody!
