Something that we would have never listened before. Initially, the new band was complete (with other formerly members), though we hadn't name and we were still looking for a new and fresh sound to our ears. After a few months we named the band and the sound was starting to taking shape. At that time, two members left the band and we were looking for a new drummer. After testing some, Roger, who was the bass player at the time encouraged himself to play drums and we asked to David's brother (Luís) if he wanted to join the band. He was playing the guitar in other bands, and he agreed to join Eikostate as a bassist right away. The band was again complete, and we started to rehearse and compose. Our hard work turned into what we are now: a mix of loud rock and Japanese instruments which is ready to rock everyone's ears!

SG: What are your musical influences?
We can´t tell if there's any big musical influence over the band.Obviously, all of us have different musical tastes that brings something unique and personal to the band. Influences comes from everywhere... Even though some people think we just changed our name we see it as a new beginning and a new band. Unfortunately, our forming member Jayr Fernandes had to move back to Brazil shortly after that, but we've found a new drummer, friend and partner - Eriks, and are rolling ever since.

SG: What/who are some of your musical influences?
the Beatles, the Doors, Nirvana, the Cure, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, Pink Floyd, U2, Sex Pistols, Simple Minds, David Bowie, Pantera, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, Slayer, Sepultura, Soulfly, Metallica, Blur, dEUS, Oasis, Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine, Tool, Deep Purple, Faith No More, John Coltrane, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, Jim Jarmusch, Coen brothers, Kubrick, David Lynch etc...

SG: What are you working on right now, are you touring?
Right now we are working on our new record and are not touring. Mostly they deal with human relations, emotions, human nature and well, modern life in urban space and everything which is connected to it - alienation, pressure of establishment, morality, religion, money etc. The message is universal - be yourself, or rather stay yourself. Don't let them break you.

SG: What has inspired the content of the music?
Anything what happens around us - relationships, politics, life in general, well, anything. Let's see what will happen and where our new music will bring us. And thanks to MHz Network for picking our last video up because it already helped us to establish some fan-base in US, which we hope will continue to grow.
